Proto #1.
See the 360 Shooter in Action
For proto #1, we wanted to test the overall design and validate the angles of the rim and base inserts. We wanted to make sure one person can easily raise and lower the rim to the different heights. We also wanted to verify the overall stability of the system and ensure it wouldn't fall over. Every person who walked by the 360 Shooter gave praises and positive comments about the system. Everyone wanted to know where where purchased the 360 Shooter!

Proto #2.
See the 360 Shooter in Action
For proto #2, we focused on building an industrial strength design using square poles with 14 gauge steel. We also created custom hinges for both the rim and base insert, which proved to be effective in the design. It allowed us to easily raise and lower the rim height from 6ft to 10ft. The square poles were secured using releasable pins. We added a net for ball return using nylon netting and trampoline material. Proto #2 was very strong and can hold my entire weight.
Proto #3.

For proto #3, we focused on building a flat base and using lightweight, collapsible aluminum poles. We also developed new rim and base hinges for more flexibility. The design was even more stable and sturdy. We added a ball return net and it worked great, with a good ball return and bounce back. We tested the net options with a baseball, basketball, football, and frisbee. The 360 Shooter is turning into a multi-functional system for several sports.
Proto #4.

For proto #4, we really added the finishing touches to the design by using a lighter flat base and bigger stronger poles for additional support. We also upgraded the clamps used on the poles which allowed us to lower the rim height down to 6 feet. The rim can be raised quickly, simply, and easily to 10 feet. We also added locking wing nuts to stabilize the rim and based inserts which made a significant difference in the overall stability of the system. We were able to build and tear down the complete system in under 360 seconds and pack everything into a carry-on bag which only weighed 37 lbs!
Proto #5.

For proto #5, we strengthened the poles by adding 1/4 inch thick metal sleeves and found the matching yellow color for the pole clamps and rim. We added the sleeves both at the top and bottom of the poles for added strength. Now, a user can tighten the poles at the base and at the rim without damaging the poles. We designed the 360 Shooter to last a lifetime!
